The Vernon Township Food Pantry provides nutritionally balanced food to township individuals and families who are in need of assistance. The Food Pantry is a community project supervised by the Township.
Donating to the Food Pantry
The Food Pantry consists of fresh, frozen and non-perishable foods donated by the community for residents in need. Along with donations of fresh, frozen and non-perishable foods, gift cards to local grocery stores and cash donations are accepted. Food stamps can be applied for at the Illinois Department of Human Services by calling 847-336-5212 or accessing the online application.
Vernon Township has several programs throughout the year to help less fortunate families. These Sponsor-A-Family programs include Thanksgiving dinners (November), holiday gifts (Christmas), and school supplies (July).

12th Annual Garage Sale
