The Vernon Township Food Pantry provides nutritionally balanced food to township individuals and families who are in need of assistance.
The food pantry is a community project supervised by the Township. Donations of food items are provided by the community. Along with donations of non perishable food items, gift cards to local grocery stores and cash donations are accepted.
The Food Pantry consists of fresh, frozen and non-perishable foods donated by the community for residents who are in need. Vernon Township Food Pantry accepts donations Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The Food Pantry is available Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., and the Client Choice Pantry is open the first Tuesday of the month from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Food stamps can be applied for online at the Illinois Department of Human Services or by calling 847-336-5212.
