VERNON TOWNSHIP FOOD PANTRY and MOBILE FOOD PANTRY


The Vernon Township Food Pantry provides nutritionally balanced food to township individuals and families who are in need of assistance.  

The food pantry is a community project supervised by the Township.  Donations of food items are provided by the community.  Along with donations of non perishable food items, gift cards to local grocery stores and cash donations are accepted.


The Food Pantry consists of non-perishable food donated by the community for residents who need food due to financial problems. Vernon Township Food Pantry accepts donations Monday through Friday 9:00a.m. to 3:30p.m.


The Food Pantry is available Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., and the Client Choice Pantry is open the first Tuesday of the month from 8:00 a.m. to Noon and the first Thursday of each month from 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.


Food stamps can be applied for at the Illinois Department of Human Services by calling (847) 336-5212 or online at www.dhs.state.il.us. Click on Illinois Link Apply Online.
